The Lodge

Rooms

The spacious rooms of the Pura Vida Lodge are available for two to six people. Some rooms have their own balcony with hammock. The sturdy beds with comfortable matrasses will give you the sleep you need after a day of surfing. Hygiene is highly important to us, so we clean the shared bathrooms and toilets daily.

Lounge garden

The lodge is surrounded by a huge common garden area with (heated) eco swimming pool facing south. This means constant sun! If you are looking for shade you will find more than enough sheltered spots. The garden is equipped with bean bags and hammocks to relax in. The outside solar shower is perfect to rinse off after a surf session. At night we light the campfire, where you can enjoy a cold drink and talk about your day with the other guests. We limit the number of guests to ensure a relaxed vibe in the lodge.

Breakfast

Every morning you will wake up with a delicious and healthy breakfast buffet in the sunny garden. The products that we use are fresh and every day we surprise you with a special (so we are not telling you about it yet!). Besides freshly brewed coffee and tea we provide juices and home made bread with lots of topping to choose from, like home made peanut butter and chocolate paste. Also yoghurt, cereals and fruits are part of the daily breakfast menu. A good start of the day and enough energy for a surf session.

Dinner

Every night you have the choice, indulging yourself with a self made dinner or going out and letting others cook for you? At the Lodge or in the village? Early or late? It is whatever you like best, after all it is your holidays!

You have the option to use our gas barbecue and our fully equipped outside kitchen. A lot of times guests cook something nice together and indulge each other.

Not in the mood to cook yourself? Then you can book our dinner package. Also, there are plenty of nice restaurants in the village where you can enjoy a lovely dinner or you get something delivered to the Lodge. Of course we will give you plenty of tips and tell you where you might even be able to make a Pura Vida deal.

Dinner package

We offer a Dinner package* of 3 meals:

1. WOK party upon arrival – we will send you the menu sometime before your arrival, if you let us know your choice on time, we will make sure that dinner is ready for you on SATURDAY night @ 19:00! Arriving later? Then we can keep the food for you and you can heat it up, no problem.

2. BBQ / Plancha night – we will hold a nice bbq/plancha night in our garden. Incl. 2 pieces of meat or vegetarian option (chosen beforehand), 1 grilled corn, 2 sorts of salad, baguette.

3. Sunset Dinner on the Beach – 1 pizza/pasta or salad bowl (pokebowl) of your choice. If the weather doesn’t allow for dinner on the beach, we will have it at the Lodge.

*incl. 1 drink per meal (water, juice, wine or beer)

Après-surf

Still got energy after your surf session? Play darts, table tennis or jeu de boules. Or train your balance using the Indo boards or slacklines. We also provide skateboards (longboards and carver boards) that you can use for a tour around the area. But don’t forget to relax as well! Grab a cold drink and settle yourself into a bean bag or hammock by the pool. Everywhere in the lodge you have access to free WiFi.

Your hosts

We are Sven and Elles, nice to meet you! Being very passionate about and loving the surf sport and the environment, we started the Pura Vida Lodge several years ago. Together with our team and our children, daughter Flo and son Yuki, we are the heart of the Lodge. With all of us we are working hard but happy every day to make sure that our guests will have a pleasant and unforgettable holiday here in Mimizan.
